  • The cadre of the Job Trainee (Patwari) will be ‘State Cadre’ in terms of policy notified vide Notification No. Rev-S(A)3-2/2022-1 dated 22.02.2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

  • Should have passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent from a recognized board of School Education/University.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in the Pradesh.
  • Knowledge of Computer.

Experience:

No prior experience required.

Salary/Stipend

The salary is provided during the Job-Trainee period.

Consolidated Fixed Amount: ₹12,500/- Per Month

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

Age Relaxation: Upper age limit for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes, Persons with Disabilities categories who are domiciles of Himachal Pradesh and for the employees of Himachal Pradesh Government and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh shall be relaxable upto five (05) years.

Selection Process

  • Mode of Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT) or Written Screening Test (OMR) as decided by the Aayog.
  • Total Marks: 120 Marks
  • Duration: 1½ hours (one and a half hours)
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Number of Questions: 120 Questions (Each question carries 1 mark)

Syllabus Distribution:

  • Subjects/Fields (85 Questions): Questions up to the level of prescribed essential qualification (10+2 level)
  • General Section (35 Questions):
    • General Knowledge including General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh
    • Current Affairs
    • Everyday Science
    • Logical Reasoning
    • Social Science
    • General English of Matric Standard
    • General Hindi of Matric Standard

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • General Category: 45% marks (May be relaxed up to 40% if candidates securing prescribed percentage are less than advertised posts)
  • SC/ST/OBC/WFF Categories: 40% marks (May be relaxed up to 35% if candidates securing prescribed percentage are less than advertised posts)

Normalization:

  • In case of multiple shifts CBT examination, the score of candidates shall be normalized using Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method) for preparation of the merit list.

Document Verification:

Original documents and self-attested photocopies must be produced at the time of documentation.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification based on merit.

General Information/Instructions

Dispute, if any, shall be subject to Court jurisdictions of HP.

Candidates must be registered on One Time Registration (OTR) portal before filling the ORA.

Only online applications will be accepted. No offline applications will be entertained.

Candidates must provide working mobile number and email ID which should remain active till completion of selection process.

The candidate shall be eligible for appointment if he/she has passed Matriculation and 10+2 from any school/institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. This condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories of other states shall be treated as General category candidates.

A correction window shall be opened for a period of seven days, commencing after three working days from the closing date for submission of ORAs, subject to payment of fee.

Admissions to the examination shall be purely provisional subject to verification of eligibility at the time of document verification.

Category certificates (OBC, BPL/EWS, WFF) should be valid on the closing date for submission of ORA as well as on the date of document verification.

Candidates with disabilities of 40% or more are allowed extra time of minimum 40 minutes for examination of two hour duration.

No admit card will be sent by post. Candidates will have to download their admit card from the official website.

Provisional answer key will be uploaded on the official website. Candidates can raise objections within seven days with a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per challenge.

Candidates must visit the website regularly for updates regarding roll numbers, admit card, documentation etc.

How to Apply

Keep all original certificates and self-attested photocopies ready for document verification stage.

Step 1 – Sign Up: Register on the HPRCA portal by clicking the “Sign Up” option to create a username and password.

Step 2 – One-Time Registration: Complete the One-Time Registration by providing personal information, educational qualifications, work experience (if any), uploading recent photograph and signature, and uploading relevant supporting documents.

Step 3 – Complete/Update Profile: Ensure your profile is complete. Only users who have completed their profile can apply for posts. Update any information if required.

Step 4 – Apply for Post: View the list of available posts under different categories on the HPRCA portal and click on the “Apply” button for the desired post.

Step 5 – Select Preferred Exam District: Select your preferred district(s) for the examination from the dropdown menu.

Step 6 – Confirm Application Details: The system will automatically fill your application form using information from your profile. Review the details before proceeding.

Step 7 – Pay Application Fee: Make the application fee payment of ₹800/- through the available payment gateway options (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking).

Step 8 – Application Submission Confirmation: After successful payment, your application will be considered complete. Download and save the application form for future reference.

Important: Candidates are strictly advised to apply online well in advance to avoid rush during closing dates.
